While I expected this to be longer, I was quite pleased with it. It put Tripp's accident and subsequent battles into easy-to-understand terms that will help children of all ages better understand his condition and struggles. The artwork is too-notch, pleasing to the eye and not so "graphic" that it will upset anybody; it is definitely appropriate for all ages and gives a good visual aid to help understanding of Tripp's condition and issues. Wonderful job!
This is a story about a little boy named Tripp and his struggles to return to a more normal life after a huge tree branch fell out of a tree striking Tripp in his head and crushing his 2 year old skull. He has the cutest head of hair and has lots of friends praying for his recovery. I hope this book sells lots of copies so his Mom Stacy can stay home with him and help Tripp improve daily. May angels always be near sweet little Trippdoodle.
I just bought this book and it's a direct accounting of the little boy named Tripp who sustained a traumatic brain injury, and his journey to restore his health. Please help this family by buying this book. There are many reasons to help they need your love and support, they help other families with disabled children, they are a loving, caring and giving family. What better reasons could there be? Blessings to the Halstead family and to the many people that they help in their time of need!! Love you Tripp!!!!!!
This is a great children's book to show other children that sometimes we have to struggle to get where we need to be!!! Tripp is so strong just like his Mommy and Daddy!!! Keep fighting Tripp your heading down the right path!!! I'd come be your nurse ANY DAY!!! Prayer and love to you all!
I loved this sweet simple book. I've been keeping up with Tripp and his family since the beginning and this made me cry. For sad reasons, for happy reasons. Tripp is an amazing little boy that will just keep getting stronger! Loved his book!!!
This is a book about a young child with a brain injury and would help you to teach other children why someone would be "different to them". Once someone understands an injured person, they no longer fear them. This author has written another book about another child that has health problems. I've been saying for years, that people should be more open with their children about the ills, injuries, and any other health problem caused by accidents. By doing so, you are taking away the fear of someone who is "different" in some way. Of course you have to use common sense and always finish on the upbeat of getting better and even helping the person.
I love the illustrations in the book. It's hard to imagine the trials that face Tripp and the the Halsteads every hour of every day. This book puts some perspective to the roller coaster that is their life now. Anyone who has had a child can only imagine the kind of devastation this tragedy would inflict on the individuals and the family as a whole. It breaks my heart; but, there's always hope! The final illustration is a perfect example of a family who will never lose that hope that their little "Trippadoodle" will overcome even this, through the love and prayers of family and friends. I am thrilled to be able to be a tiny part of the ever-growing group of Tripp Halstead lovers!! Sweet book!
